YOU CAN GET ANYWHERE FAST FROM TEMESCAL PLACE

Temescal is a thriving neighborhood offering many basic services within a short walk from Temescal Place, including laundromat, dry cleaners, banks, hardware, pharmacy/variety, restaurants/cafes (many), fast food, deli, convenience store, post office, library, video rental, fitness studio, art studio, knitting, martial arts, locksmith, photo service, insurance, tax preparation, wireless telecom, fine candies, veterinarian,  ... and on and on.  What convenience!

If you work or play in Downtown Oakland, Berkeley or Emeryville, forget the freeway!

You can drive to most locations in these areas in about 10 minutes using Telegraph or Shattuck   Avenues and cross-town boulevards like 40th Street.

If you prefer public transportation, two major bus routes connecting Downtown Oakland and Berkeley have stops at Temescal Place, and the Telegraph route runs 24/7.  Even better, the bus line on Telegraph Avenue is being upgraded for increased express bus service beginning in 2006 and is slated for a Bus Rapid Transit line in 2008.

If you prefer to bike, you’ve got a flat run to all the major employment centers in these areas and can zip to most places in 15 minutes or less.  And the City is currently doing an Environmental Impact Study for the proposed Telegraph Avenue Bikeway.

Going to downtown San Francisco or Walnut Creek?

Freeway on and off ramps are just a few blocks away and your drives are about 15 minutes in non-rush hour and about 30 minutes in rush hour.

You can walk to the MacArthur BART station in 10 minutes and catch the most frequent service to San Francisco (averaging less than 5 minutes apart) with a 16-minute ride to Embarcadero.    To Walnut Creek and beyond, you can walk either to MacArthur BART or a little farther to Rockridge BART, with Walnut Creek just a 17-minute ride.

Many Oakland commuters to San Francisco like the AC Transit Trans-Bay express busses and there are two routes (C and E) just a 10-minute walk away.  The E bus is non-stop to San Francisco from its last stop in the East Bay, which is the closest to Temescal Place.
